How we get the personal information and why we have it:

We receive your personal information directly when you create an account. We use this information to send you email alerts about your backups, which might be the success \ failure of a backup, missed backup, creation or deletion of a backup set, or termination of the account. In addition, we will send you periodic marketing emails to help us keep the 100GB storage offer free.

We will also capture the personal details of extra contacts you add to your backup accounts. These will be used for email alerts about your backups but not for marketing.

We never share this information with other organisations outside of our company.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

If you unsubscribe from our mailing list, we can no longer send you the system and other emails, and we will close your free account. This will result in the purge of all your backed-up data.
All PAID accounts are unaffected.

How we store your personal information, and for how long

Your information is securely stored.
We keep your name and email address for the lifetime of your account. We will then dispose of your information by purging your details from our database.

Under data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access – You can ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to object to processing – You have the right to object to processing your personal information in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge to exercise your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond.
